Land Preparation
Field preparation includes initial ploughing using a mouldboard plough, followed by 2-3 cultivator ploughings to finely pulverize the soil.

Thiram or cabendazim @2-2.5gm per 1kg of seed, to manage Ergot treat the seed in 20% salt solution.

Water Management
Bajra crop is particularly vulnerable to moisture during flowering and grain formation stages. Therefore, in case of insufficient rainfall, it is advisable to provide two irrigations.

Manual weeding, Atrazine @1.25kg per hectare in light to medium soils, Pendamethylene 30EC @2.5 litres

Harvesting
